If I added up all the books I've read by word count alone, I would find that not a shred of space remained in my brain. Not one single corner would be empty. So, it is no wonder that I've found myself more than once combing over a book, only to get half way through and realize, I've read the story before. I can't remember all of them.
Yet, I can say with absolute confidence the Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay will never be amongst the books that fade from my memory. They are unforgettable. Katniss' survival instincts, will to protect her life and her loved ones, and unfailable perserverance will stay with me forever. I was, am, and forever will be entranced by her story and the larger human issues brought to life by the trilogy.
If you haven't read these books, stop reading this review, and go pick them up! Are you still here?
